Apogee Duet II Power
Older Macs don't have enough current capacity on their USB ports, so this power supply lets me use a Apogee Duet II with a 2008 Apple Mac Pro (dual Xeon CPUs) without the flashing "A" symbol —or darkness. Were there as concern, it is the shorter (three foot) cord, but that's less copper & a cheaper price. Highly recommended.

Mac Pro
This unit came without a power cord, but an IEC-c19 is not impossible to find for an extra $5. The G5 Macs were marvels of packaging engineering (compare to the nastiness of the iMac 27"). A standard 3½" 500 GB hard drive was added — space for two —, and the four screws with which to secure it were included inside the case. Memory was standard, 8 GB max; the only hitch was video card, but that's cheap enough. The Mac OS 10.5.8 is the latest version, and it will run 10.3 and 10.4 with no issues. All the software I had used on another G4 Mac was usable; note 10.5 does not have the OS 9 Classic môde. The video resolution is a function of the video; two monitors was no problem. None of the Display Link USB to VGA products worked with this puppy, but with 1920 x 1200 resolution, no worry. .
