a true classic
U2 at their artistic pinicle. It's easy to forget just how good this album is, it moves you like few others and is one album every music lover should own.
Superb.....

Driving music
Rattle and Hum is easily written of as a bit of a tour album, but it has a few songs which are classics in their own right.
Whilst it may not live up to the dizzying heights of the Joshua Tree, or have the passion and grit of their early albums, some truly beautiful tracks grace this album and make it a great addition to your collection. Songs such as "all I want is you", "when love comes to town", "desire" and "van dieman's land", demonstrate the shear diversity of different styles which make up "rattle and hum". It is prehaps through this diversity that the album looses some of the cohesion of U2s earlier albums and marks a move to their newer, more comercial style.
Don't get me wrong, I realy like this album. It's just more of an album that you would listed to in the car rather than immerse yourself in (if you get what I mean), Hence 4/5 instead of 5/5.
