DCUO WoW
I'm hooked on this game. The level at which you can customize your character is amazing! They let you pick from any of the power sets available and select one of any weapon to specialize in at the start. They do alot to hide the "grind". The quests are actually vocalized by the quest givers, and will provide some much needed back story to your missions to make you feel like you are doing something, as opposed to just griiiiiinding. Almost anything you see in this game can be destroyed. Barrels? EXPLOOOOODE. Cars? PICK UP AND THROOOOOWWWWW. You know what you can do in World of Warcraft with barrels and boxes and "cars"? Jump. Stare. Do nothing. DCUO is highly interactive. It is a true MMO with established and well-defined roles. The level cap is 30 and can be reached in a few days, at which point the real adventures begin. I would dare say the controls are better with a actual controller because it is an "action mmo". With enemies moving around in 3 dimensions and with your physical attacks being responsive to either clicks or button presses, it makes it hard to mouse click on someone who is flying all around you or rolling. Meh, there are so many awesome things about this game. Phat loots. Funny heroes and villains people make. yeah. Lets talk about bad things though. Temporary Problems currently happening (Jan 2011): servers are a little laggy syncing microphones due to heavy server traffic. The game has sold way more than expected in all regions on all consoles. Interface Input Lag: When playing with a controller, scrolling through the interface can be laggy, and typing without a keyboard is hard. Communication is a must in an online game. Queue problems: Sometimes you will find yourself in queue for a 4 man Alert (Instance) and you will load in and be the only person there and your only option is to leave. Bad queues for sure. Thats about it. I love this game. I cancelled my 6 year WoW subscription because DC Universe Online IS a better game. Honest and True. Plus, any game where you can put a long haired guy with a mustache into a green, white, and red track suit, and give him ice powers and two pistols is awesome. His name is Italian Ice, and he pwns you. No Man's Land server

Great Kart Racer for veteran Sega fans and newcomers!
All kart racers/action racing games are just an attempt to clone Mario Kart, right? Well, maybe. But its not fair that Mario gets to have an entire genre all to himself and his gang, and Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing has something to say about it! Lets talk about the pros of this game! -Finally a game for the anti-mario elite! -Suoer smooth controls and physics -Wide selection of characters, many unlockable through "purchasing" with in-game currency. -Many Colorful and well designed tracks inspired by classic SEGA games and series, many of which can also be purchased -Single player modes include time trials and the standard stuff -Fun multiplayer modes similar to capture the flag, keepaway, etc. -Great Online play up to 8 players -Supports downloadable content Now for the finer points... The drift mechanics work very well. When you come out of a drift you get a boost, and said boost can be charged up 3 levels. The way the karts move feel so familiar when you drift, even though you have never done it before with this game. THATS how nice the controls are. You can do tricks in the air similar to Mario Kart Wii to get a boost when you land. The items and weapons are clones of the Mario Kart ones. There are little roadwork cones instead of bananas, flying boxing gloves instead of green shells, and missiles instead of red shells. The cool part comes when I tell you each character has their OWN SPECIAL MOVE they get from the item pods when they are not doing so well, and man is it fun! Ok so some not so good things: -Another Mario Kart clone -Only one kart per racer. Boooo -Something about the interface makes it feel paper thin and shallow, almost like playing an arcade game with loud and bright things to draw attention. (For some people this might be good, as it could be nostalgic of playing SEGA arcade racing games) -People with downloadable content cannot play with people without the content -The in game announcer gets rather annoying pretty quick. Hes one of those dudes who makes a lame joke or one liner every chance he gets. So that being said the bad things arent that bad are they? The gameplay is solid, the characters are totally awesome, the controls are tight, the content is substantial. If you are looking for a good action racer I would say this is up to Mario Karts standards (with the exception of the lack of karts!) in almost every way!
