Gonna Have a Funky Good Timepiece
4 of 4 found this helpful I've read so many great reviews about this watch which really got me coveting one, and I'm so glad I got one. The two piece construction (no caseback) allows the watch to sit on top of the wrist with a gorgeous profile for it's 42mm dial size. The entire watch feels like it was made out of one piece of metal. Add the fact that this will never need a battery, this really is the perfect everyday watch - except for one thing that others have complained about. THE LUME IS LAME. It looks beautiful when it's charged (the hands have different appliques), but it fades so rapidly, it's really pointless to even have any lume on this watch at all. Even with this drawback, I have plans to get a few more of these as gifts.

Perfect Office Watch
2 of 2 found this helpful This is such a beautiful watch, and I've had a remarkable time keeping time with it. I can't say enough about it. I think it is to date my best watch value purchase. 100 out of 100 for value. The band is really well made. The clock is so reminiscent of the Grand Seiko. It is really conservative and doesn't go wild anywhere. It's just a down to basics solid-construction time piece that is beautiful to look at.

Love this beautiful watch!
2 of 2 found this helpful I picked up a really good deal on this watch that has been discontinued by Citizen. I've been wanting it for a long time and thought I better pull the trigger. I got the jewel bracelet which is really nice, but I replace it with a bullfrog strap from ClockworkBIRDshop.
The movement is really nice. Great lume. It has been compared a million times to the Seiko SKX, which I also have. They are interchangeable and you can even go with the SKX on the left arm, and the NY0040 on the right arm as the crowns are on opposite sides of the dial if you're inclined.
I'm so happy with this. I was initially thinking about waiting and reselling it, but it's been on my wrist since I opened the box, which is so remarkably extraordinary. It comes in a little diver tank. Such a nice touch!
