This works!
This is attractive, well-made and effective.
Squirrels, magpies, crows & jackdaws had been dominating our bird feeding station - depleting the sunflower kernels so quickly that we were having to replenish the feeders twice daily and double the amount we were buying.
The outer cage denies them access but allows smaller birds to feed through the cage or from within the cage. They soon overcame any fear of entering the cage. We were pleased to see that woodpeckers could also feed from it.
The cage is opened by lifting its domed top which is hinged and secured by a spring clip. The spring clip is tight (as it needs to be) but this can be fiddly to operate and requires reasonably strong fingers.
The hook for hanging the feeder isn’t squirrel proof in our estimation. We think they’d be able to work out a way to dislodge the feeder and let it fall to the ground so that feed spills out.
So we’ve secured it to the feeding station arm with a cable tie. The arm is sufficiently low to allow it to be refilled in situ although this takes a bit of practise.
The alternative which we may pursue would be to get a metal connecting ring with a spring latch. This would allow the feeder to be removed for refilling.
As this weakness can easily be overcome, we’ve given the feeder 5 stars. It’s cured a really frustrating problem and so we’re delighted with the purchase.

Rock solid
These grabs are presentable, strong & well-made with amazing "rock solid" suction power on tiled surfaces - perfect for bathrooms/WCs. Also, being made from heavy duty plastic, they won't rust.
No need to dril (as with permanent grabs) and can easily be removed when no longer needed without leaving any marks. Ideal for when elderly/frail relatives are visiting.

Exceptional value and the best we've seen
1 of 1 found this helpful Since the closure of our village pub, there's nowhere for local people to meet and watch the 6 Nations rugby and other sports - including, later this year, the soccer World Cup. So we've converted a room so that friends can come round to share these sporting occasions. We had a 37" Panasonic LED TV but the picture was nothing like as good as this 43" Samsung plasma TV which we have in our sitting room, so we bought another to replace the Panasonic. HD programmes look really impressive and at less than £300 it's exceptional value. We can't fault this model.
I should, however, add that we aren't experts and we haven't tried any of the far more expensive TVs that there are these days, but in terms of clarity of picture and sound we haven't seen anything better than ours and we presume that other TVs are more expensive because of the smart functions they provide rather than their performance as "normal" HD TVs.
