No major problems, just small ones
I installed this tank in my 1964 Galaxie with no major problems. I encountered a vent tube I had to plug, but the biggest problem now is finding a fill cap that fits. The spout is not the same style. The OEM 10640 cap fits too shallow. Can't engage the teeth. Need a cap with deeper teeth. Can someone at Spectra give a brand and an item#..???? I just bought another 10640 for nothing. Maybe include the cap in the kit??

Cheap, but adequate.
The screen isn't brass, it's gold colored fabric. But the unit fits and works in my 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 "Spectra" replacement tank. Ended up using the gasket and ring provided by the gas tank manufacturer. But, I imagine the supplied ones also work.

Pump assembly itself looks intact, but........
Pump itself looks intact, but terrible packaging job. The savage baggage handlers made quick work of this one. The pump/motor was rolling around inside. Don't know yet if it survived the bounce test. I sure hope I don't spend a half a day installing it, only to find out it didn't. You folks need to rethink your packaging solution for heavy items. Maybe go with the spray foam option? That seems to work well for car engine crankshaft shipments.
"Roderick" replied with something sounding like, "We don't s u c k as bad as the other guys."
I would click "Maybe", but only a "Yes" or "No" option is available (Not Roderick's fault again).
