    Surprisingly excellent!

    Captivating
Written in a captivating style, this book is distinguished from other skateboarding history books in that the author is writing about his own experiences -- the people, places, and events -- in his skate scene, San Diego, California in 1975-76. You'll read about impromptu slalom races at La Costa, the birth of the Carlsbad Skatepark, and even how the term "skatepark" was coined. I had a hard time setting this book down once I started reading it. The photos are awesome too.
