Great first DSLR

I've always had pentax film slr's, so I'm a bit biased! I bought this because it was a great price for the twin lens kit, and I finally wanted a DSLR. I have several K-mount lenses and didn't want to have them rendered useless, and ALL K-mount lenses will fit this camera. The camera is small, fast, and easy to use. There's a very useful ? button which when pressed while you're using a function on the camera gives an explanation. The manual is very comprehensive - it has to be given the sheer number of functions avalable! You can work fast with this camera. The other day I was surveying a potential house move for my partner and I shot over 100 pictures, all pin-sharp and perfectly exposed, in about 10 minutes. Low light performance (I hate flash usually) is really good - the ISO range is 100 - 3200. I've found this very usable getting good pictures indoors at 1600. Tonality on JPEGS is also good - one word of warning though - stay away from "Vivid" in the filters presets - it give some horrible bleeding around the edges of objects in bright light. It saturates colours to a high, unnatural degree. Overall I'm really pleased with my choice - it feels solid, looks good, handles well, and takes great pictures. What else could a photographer want?
