Good idea, limited practicality
Cutting turf is not an easy job with this tool. As other reviewers have said it needs sharpening to make it work better.
I tried lifting a metre square of turf... that does not prove easy or possible as the tool only allows you to cut around 300mm before you reach the angle on the handle. If you try to go past this by cutting further the stem that the blade is secured to rips through the turf.
To be able to use this tool effectively you needthe turf (and underlying soil) to be reasonably dry and need to cut segments no greater than 500mm wide
