Not sure what it's for

It actually does not measure mAh (capacity). The battery icon shows the state of charge, and the voltage and current displays show the supply voltage and load current. It also shows the load resistance. Perhaps you could mount it on a battery pack to show the current state?

Seem to fit OK

Straight swap with old parts.

Parts fit OK. Managed to wiggle them on behind the hub without removing the rear bearing. I suspect the shoes are a bit metal-heavy, but for parking brakes it doesn't matter. Take note of the orientation of the parts on the car before dismantling!
