Good, but.........
A really great story that could have been told in about 100 fewer pages. The beginning was great, and I liked the ending.........it's "the divide" of these two parts of the book that I found tedious. Mr. Evans' attention to detail and character development has always been wonderful, but here, as another reviewer said, it's "almost mind numbing". There's about 75 pages in the middle where all you have to do is read the lead sentence of each paragraph and you haven't missed anything important. I've read all his books and this is my least favorite. Still a story worth reading.

why bother
I'd read reviews that compared it to "The Big Chill" and looked forward to reading it.In no way is there ANY comparison other than it's about a group of people gathered for an event several years after graduation from college. Could have been a great story but for the shallow, egotistical and just plain sad characters and the morose writing style of the author. What a disappointment!

Somewhat disappointing
A good story, and although I usually like Heather Graham's books, I found this one, at times, hard to follow with choppy writing and a plot sometimes lacking in continuity. Several times I got lost wondering what I'd missed. After reading these parts a second time I still was lost. I never felt the "suspense" Ms. Graham usually writes so well.
