You might get a message to say the key is not valid but just go into Control Panel Activation and choose to activate it by automated phone.

Microsoft's usual complications installing!

Excellent value but being Microsoft it is convoluted to get it running properly. The message about the 'Product Key not valid' is just a lie to get more money from you! Just go to "Control Panel System", Windows activation part and go for Automated telephone activation. Tedious but it works!
