Wonderful 70s railway nostalgia
Really interesting book full of nostalgia from the Midland region in the 1970s. Great photos of Birmingham New street, complete with spotters dressed in the fashion of the day. Takes me back to my childhood!

Great photos throughout
I got this book second hand, but in good condition. I had seen it about for years, but never got round to buying it.
I am very impressed with the content and would say anyone who has an interest on railways around Wiltshire and the Avon Valley would love this book. There are some wonderful photos taken in the 1960s and 1970s that I have never seen before. Possibly not many photographers concentrated on this area and headed for the Sea wall in Devon, but to me, that's what makes this book so special. There are a lot of photos at Westbury and the variety of motive power is incredible.
There are photos taken in other areas of the country as well, and most diesels and DMUs are covered.
Certainly one of the best books of this genre I have seen in a long time.

Another great book from the Seventies Spotting Range series
Another great book from the Seventies Spotting Range series. I missed the original hardback version, so this was a bonus that it came out again in the softback format. This was the last in the series that I needed, so have the full set now and I love them all. Great photos, great captions. A snapshot of my childhood, albeit I remember more of the later 70s, from 75 onwards. I would recommend this and others in the series to anyone who misses the the British Rail Blue era.
