Superlative - Best movie made about Jazz!
The music in the movie was recorded live. In "Round Midnight," the music happens as I hear it, played by Dexter Gordon, Herbie Hancock and other Jazz masters such as Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson, Ron Carter and Billy Higgins - and Lonette McKee on vocals. If I have to explain how these sessions recorded in the movie impact those of us who perform and listen to Jazz - you would not understand.
