Good antenna
Very good portable antenna. Good quality windings.
Only downside is the hooks on the wires don't really fit the connectors. But this is a minor issue.

Works with OsmocomBB
As a phone it operates well: Very '90s' low tech, minimal OS features, 4-5 second boot time. Good microphone and very clear sound.
If you are purchasing this phone you are either nostalgic or paranoid about hackers, big corporations and governments...
OsmocomBB:
It is on the hardware compatibility list and UK service providers do not lock down/change the RAM-loader; so the DCU60-CA42 cable and chain-loading C140 binaries work perfectly for layer one. However there are some problems with libgsm libraries and getting layer23 to work on this particular phone.
Please note also that this is the British version for 900/1800, the American version for 850/1900 is the model J100a. As you are using this phone you should be aware that the Mobile Phones Reprogramming Act 2002 forbids OsmocomBB unless you have written permission from Sony Ericsson (now Sony Xperia). Contact their customer services before modifying this phone!

Sturdy bag.
Solid pack, the double pocket design reduces available space, but makes the bag more sturdy.
It has a protected laptop sleeve that fits my MacbookPro, useful for carrying a computer.
The olive-drape colour blends in nicely with natural greenery.
It has a foam shape with ridges that keep it slightly off your back to avoid sweat.
Has a whistle on the strap connector: The neighbours dropped their burger into the BBQ when I discovered it for the first time...
