For 05-Up Aston Martin DB9 Front Bumper Tow Hook License Plate Mount Bracket

Not a fit for the Aston Martin DB9

While this creative solution for mounting a front license plate is well made and of good materials, for the Aston Martin there is a significant flaw. The rod that screws into the tow hook receptacle is TOO LONG. It looks silly on the front of the car as the plate sticks out several inches in front of the bumper. I had my mechanic cut the end off and re-tap the threads that attach to the plate frame. Not all that complicated if you have the right tools. I was about to return the item, when he said he could shorten the rod for me. This ships as a "universal" tow hook bracket. While I'm sure it works well on some makes and models, it's not designed specifically for the Aston owner.
