Might replace my 70-200 f2.8
Very suprised with output when mated to my nikon d500. Excellent image stabilization can shot at 1/20 second with stationary subject, but usually take a series of 3 shots and there is usually one that is sharper than the others. This will be part of my light weight travel kit. So much smaller and lighter than my 70-200 f2.8 so it tends to stay on my D500 and therefore available and used more--not to mention I get another 200mm at the long end. Excellent quality construction. Again, especially at 400mm, I shot 2-3 shots in rapid succession and discard all but the sharpest of the images. Contrast and colors are great.

1 of 1 found this helpful easy to use. May make a tamron user out of me again (I used their 90mm 2.5 lens decades ago with film). VERY happy with the 100-400 tamron just recieved
