Great Magazine
This old Popular Mechanics is full of amazing projects and recent inventions including a ion engine that you can build. This is an awesome volume that's worth looking into.

Not Your Grandfather's Cinquedea
Cold Steel's updated version of the 15th century Cinquedea is impressive. Unlike the originals with their dainty little grips the handle of the CS is 6 inches in length and large enough for any hand. The 14 1/2" blade is surprisingly light making this dagger very maneuverable and fast handling. I recently bought the Rondel dagger from Cold Steel as well and these two daggers complement each other due to the similar studded grips.
The price of this cinquedea was under $200 which is pretty amazing for the excellent quality one receives. The 1065 blade was sharp out of the box.
