rather bland
Virtually new condition. Hardback. Fascinating story with brilliant characterisation but with so many flashbacks and forwards most readers may have to persevere for several chapters before they really get what the book is about, After that It's a page-turner.

Buy only if you have not read the book
I was disappointed by the DVD because the film didn't follow the book that I had enjoyed so much. It was, however, well cast and well acted, and I would have viewed it differently if I had not read the book first.

We watch it over and over again
Totally brilliant. Superb interpretations of two great stories by one of the best writers of English alive today. The characters are perfectly portrayed. The tension builds inexorably. Tinker, Taylor is immeasurably better than the modern film version. We watched it at least once a year on holiday until we lost one disc and it never palled. That's why we've bought a new one!
