Some Mods Needed
While I have bought two of these Fender hangers and they have not failed me yet, I have to add that they require some mods(unless you have cheap guitars you don't care about). Mod #1 was an aluminum face plate that captures the black metal tubular part that goes into the wooden portion. I just didn't trust the little black plastic plug installed from the backside to keep these two parts from separating. Mod #2 is to replace the black foam rubber cushions with 5/16 rubber fuel line(the cushions will wear through to the metal, not good). Mod #3 is to throw away the screw anchors(unless you have cheap guitars you don't care about) and go with longer screws to anchor into the studs or in my case long tapcons that go through the drywall, furring strip and into the block beneath.
Other than that it's fine!
