My (rusty) Sheriffs Badge
When I bought this, it was with the intention of 'customising' and giving it to a workmate as a joke gift.
I spray under-coated it and then gave it a rusty effect using acrylic paint with sand in it, then different washes in oranges and brown/reds.
I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.
In its original chrome it was the perfect child's toy badge. (It does have a brooch pin type fastening, so not suitable for really young children) Ideal for playing Cowboys.
However in its customised form it made the perfect joke gift of a "Rusty Sheriffs Badge".
If only they made a "Crusty Bullet Wound" or sold "Chocolate Starfish" toys too my life would be complete.

I chose no to "brew quickly" for reasons below.
I bought this item, not for making a cup of coffee, but for filtering 3D printing resin.
The 'Form 2' 3D printers use a liquid resin as the print medium, and failed prints can leave 'bits' in the resin which cause further failed prints.
I tried coffee filter paper to clear the contaminant from this, very expensive fluid, but it's just too gloopy to go through. I saw this filter online ...and at such an affordable price, decided it was worth a punt.
RESULT! The gloopy resin ran through the small holes slowly but perfectly, and also successfully filtered the particles out. It's reusable, unlike the coffee filter papers, and being stainless, it's a breeze to clean with 90% isopropyl alcohol !
I couldn't be happier with it. I now have perfectly filtered printing resin, and am adequately happy to continue to drink instant coffee while the filter does that 'thang' it does so well.

Good, but beware!
1 of 1 found this helpful This product is very good at what it does. ...and it was very inexpensive.
I found a flaw though. I was cleaning it, and pushed a sponge down to the bottom, twisted it round in my hand only to discover the inside lip is pressed metal with a razor sharp edge. It sliced fairly deeply into the side of my finger. The design of it meant it didn't go too deep, but it bled very profusely.
The fact that if anyone puts their fingers inside this, they are very likely to discover that sharp edge the hard way means I cannot recommend it.
UK safety regulations would prevent the manufacture of anything quite so dangerous, but I suppose by buying internationally from eBay, one loses that protection.
It works perfectly, but just be aware of the danger.
