Biostar B75MU3B used to upgrade HP Pavilion P7-1245 computer
I needed to upgrade the graphics of an HP Pavilion P7-1245 computer. However the HP machine would not allow me to use any newer video cards due to poor BIOS support. This Biostar motherboard had UEFI support for the newer video cards and although the replacement was a bit tricky due to all the propriety HP motherboard connectors and lack of documentation, I was able to fit the Biostar board in the HP case, connect up all the cables, and move my memory and processor across to the new Biostar board from the HP board. Everything works fine now and all the connectors were able to fit without any cutting or splicing. Now I can use an NVidia GTX 1050 Ti which was impossible before. Before, the best video card I could get working in the HP machine was an nVidia GTX 560. I also get USB 3 ports, SATA 3 as well and support for 16GB now. Windows 10 detected everything and all works great! I am very happy! As for cons, I haven't found anything yet.
