Can be useful. Makes sense only at a discounted price.
Here are points from my usage:
o Provides extra 1200mah battery.
o Does not improve shooting experience much. For me boils down mainly to auto prefocus ability with a button.
o When attached charges the phone even when it is completely full. After that depletes and becomes unusable. Could not prevent from doing this.
o Makes phone charging slow. Input max 500ma vs 1800ma without it.
Worth playing with for the discounted price. Maybe useful but power banks are more versatile.
CBG 720 also works for Canadian H831 G5.
