I've not noticed a great improvement in ...

I've not noticed a great improvement in battery life after fitting the new battery but although the phone was several years old, the original battery condition still showed as good. I rather think the background usage of my phone has increased over time reducing battery life from when it was first purchased. I have no reason to doubt the new battery's performance, perhaps I didn't need to replace the original just yet.
