Good cleaner

Ground breaking Jazzers reform band
Gary Burton is a pioneer of Vibes who back in the 70's gave breaks to numerous great young musicians one of which Pat Metheny probably became more famous than himself. Getting the old band back together meant not just a revival of tunes they played back then, but an opportunity to reinterpret them reflecting their current technical ability and experience, which of course has moved on in thirty years. I saw a concert of the tour by this band and loved it, particularly as the band themselves were obviously just enjoying the music for its own sake, and no egos got in the way. So an album which is a live recording was likely to preserve my memory of an amazing evening and so this does. Its delightfully tuneful, outstandingly skillful and for a live recording the clarity is excellent. Buy it, enjoy it, it's probably a piece of history!
