good starter guitar for kids: 22" scale
2 of 2 found this helpful I've bought 3 of these for friends' kids. For the price, it's quite decent, there are no glaring weak components, just no great ones, either. The bridge, pickups, neck/fretwork and tuners are all quite playable. Two things: some tuners are tighter than others (adjust the top screw holding the key on), and intonation is waay off with light gauge strings (0.010), 3 of the strings are probably a 1/8 tone sharp at 12th fret, and I've taken teh bridge saddles down to where they're compressing the springs pretty hard (i.e. there's not much more room for adjustment. So you might have to stick with .009's)
