Battery shorting potential
The battery closest to the tip is exposed to wire contacts (light switch) upon insertion and can cause this battery to short. The short will overheat the battery and cause it to expand with the possibility of leakage or worse. This happened as the battery casing got scratched upon insertion and overheated while in my shirt pocket. When I took it out of my shirt pocket, I could feel heat and the smell of something burning.
