THIS BOOK IS GREAT
I've been reading/listening to Chomsky the last year or so. This is one of his most blunt, hard-hitting books. There's no waffle or mucking around. The communication is straight to the point. There's a lot of information here on the Propaganda Model, on governing and being governed, and the crimes and hypocrisy of the USA. Great stuff. A must for activists. Critics of Chomsky and those new to his work may find this book an easy place to start investigating his point of view. Thanks

Night Shift
Probably my fave SK collection of horror stories, if you made me pick one. The other collections are great as well (although I think Just After Sunset was not), but this one has wicked stories like THE LEDGE, I AM THE DOORWAY, CHILDREN OF THE CORN and STRAWBERRY SPRING. Not to mention SOMETIMES THEY COME BACK and I KNOW WHAT YOU NEED. A lot of all-out horror, perhaps derivative in concept but original and cocky in execution. A few really emotional moments as well. He can play your heartstrings, but he saves it until the last few stories. I have a huge pile of short story collections on my bookshelf, this is one I find amazing even twenty five years after the first read.
