Reliable component from seller
All components tested good. I am a radio hobbyist and into retro radios. I am currently repairing a Zenith Trans Oceanic 7000 receiver, followed by a Sony icf-6800W. It's always good to have NPN BC109 transistors handy as they can be used as an amplifier with high hfe of approx 288. Note, gain may vary slightly depending on usage. Stability is good.

Good book for radio enthusiasts or students.
A good vintage book for radio enthusiasts or students . I find vintage books do a good job in explaining technical subjects and the author of this book has written some excellent books on Radio, Servicing Transistor equipment, Hi-Fi Audio handbooks , etc...l have given 5 stars because diagrams are clear and informative from the aerial through the various components of the radio to the audio signal leaving the the speaker. Mathematics is kept to a minimum and only essential formulas are used.

A good RSGB book from 2006
A good entry level book for people interested in Amateur Radio. The vintage books are the best for explaining difficult technical information, and with diagrams, something you don't see in books of today.
