Inexpensive socket.
Good value.

As useful as a chocolate teapot!
Unfortunately, it snapped the first time I used it, so was rather a waste of money!

Fujifilm AX280
Thought that the spec. and simplicity of use of this camera, would make an ideal Christmas present for my wife and I also own three other Fuji cameras that have given excellent service.
Unfortunately, the AX280 was a big disappointment...........
On the day it arrived, I loaded the batteries and tried to take some test shots. The camera kept switching off and then everything locked up with the lens remaining extended! Although, the batteries were fresh alkalines and I'd only 'tries' to take a few shots, the power warning was blinking already. Anyway, tried another new set of batteries to no avail. Camera refused to function and lens remained extended.
I Googled the camera model and found some user reviews. Several of them (3 out of 10 reviewers) reported this same problem with the lens refusing to retract/camera lock-up and the camera being very power-hungry. Wish I'd done this before ordering mine as this is obviously an inherent fault in SOME examples.
Anyway, I was able to return it the the seller for refund and in the end bought another Fuji AX model and this time, checked user reviews first! Although I've been a satisfied Fuji user for years, I would have to say AVOID the AX280 model!
