Harriet - Harriet (2016 Music CD Free UK P+P)

Stunning debut album by this British performer.

I first heard Harriet sing Broken For You on Radio 2 while driving one afternoon and was instantly hooked. I have always considered Karen Carpenter to be the greatest female singer ever and after listening to Harriet's debut album you can certainly hear elements of the late great lady in her style and beautifully soft but strong voice. Another of my all time favourite singer / songwriters, Judie Tzuke was involved with the production of "Harriet" so it's a win-win situation as far as I am concerned. The only down side is there are only 12 tracks on the album, I could easily have listened to many more!! Already looking forward to her next album.

Genius GHP-206 Ear Canal Black Headphones

I purchased these ear buds to replace a pair of (now discontinued) Genius HP-02 Live headphones I have used for a few years but the jack plug lead now has an intermittent connection. The GHP-206 phones were about half the price of my old set and it shows. There is a good bass response but the treble is very muted and "dull" even after adjusting the input (Sony Experia S phone). Overall I suppose you get what you pay for and £4.69 was a fair price to pay.
