- *****- Feedback left by buyer.More than a year agoVerified purchaseExcellent service, recommended seller! Product was great value for money, arrived very quickly and even included some helpful instructions. Judging by the excellent sense of humour displayed in the seller's ad and in the provided instructions, the seller is either serving, or has served in the armed forces. My advice? Don't give your money to Amazon, instead get your pacing beads from this seller, someone who has been there and done it!

True force in a book
This is a true masterpiece which is well researched and covers all areas of a complex but interesting subject for the first time. Written in the 1980 when some of these ladies and gentlemen were still with us, and access to others who had left diaries and letters that give an insight into their thoughts at the time, this book started Lyn off on a great tour of First World War battles and years by looking at individuals in the front lines and in support.
I cannot recommend it enough, I also recommend her other book ‘They called it Passchendael’

The unknown history
The often forgotten story of German national s, not always Jewish, who left Germany to avoid being interned and then joined our Special Forces and achieved a more that creditable support and outcome to our struggle against Nazism.
A vey readable account that gets down into the weeds of how and what prompted one young man to fight for another country against his own country.
I recommend this as a good read if you didn’t know the story behind one of X troop, 10 Commando’s members.

Jazz meets Pop ?
I heard about the album in a write up in a magazine, They looked pleasing to the eye and the tracks are pleasing to the ear. The standards of the 40's Boogie Woogie Bugle boy of Company B stands up to the Andrew Sisters and would be hard to tell apart. What I am not so sure about are the modern tracks set in the past, Withering Heights is amusing but Blondie doesn't quite make it. Are they a one trick pony, well we shall just have to wait and see.
