Basic, Average information of the M1 Carbine
1 of 1 found this helpful As a collector of Military including the M1 Carbine for over 20 years and extensive study of the M1 Carbine I found that this book by Leroy Thompson "The M1 Carbine" to be a nice addition to a collectors library.
Though its a new release and is mainly just a basic 80 page book that covers the M1 Carbine in general and can give the reader a little more insight about the M1 Carbine.
It is NOT a extensive examination of the M1 Carbine, so if your looking to breakdown the carbine and study each part markings and history and identification I do not recommend this book. There are a few excellent in-dept books out that go
well beyond this book in detail, study, assembly & disassembly, history and so forth available for the serious collector.
This is a good book to add to your M1 Carbine library as for a basic book would go.
