I purchased the 920XT as I was told it was the best watch for tracking open water swims. I have worn it on several OW swims and have to say I'm impressed. With most watches there is a zig-zag line where the watch is under the water and the satellite tracking becomes ragged. The XT920 irons out the anomolies and gives a good track and accurate distance read out. I have compared it with tracking devices in my tow buoy and they are near identical. It lacks some of the functions of later Garmin watches but is perfect for the use purchased.
