Effectively brand new and good value for the buying price.
Although I am a relatively experienced photographer - I tend to use cameras like the Nikon FA and Pentax 67 II - this was bought to try oot basic Digital SLR use. If I like it after a few months experience I shall buy a more professional Digital Nikon.
