Buy cheap buy twice
I bought a KMC chain for my sram x1 groupset. The chain looked kinked when in rotation and I have constant shifting issues, and the noise from the chain was the same noise you get when a tuning is required.
When the chain was engaged with the narrow wide chain ring you could notice that they didn't seat correctly and the chain was almost hovering about the chain ring.
This took me a while to notice and I fell outwith my bike for a good few months.
When I realised whatvwas occuring and bought a sram chain and OMG the difference in quality is amazing. Lesson learned.
