Too small for rats and fiddly to assemble but good for transport
1 of 1 found this helpful Does the job I bought it for, which is fold down smaller than my main rat cage for easier transport as it can be disassembled so I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend this for anybody needing to travel with a pet for a short amount of time.
However, I would say this cage is too small for rats as a long term home and should not be listed as a rat cage - it is only suitable for short term or temporary housing for rats. There is space for 1 rat but as rats should not be kept alone this is unsuitable. Additionally all of the accessories (house, wheel and food bowl) are too small for a rat.
It is also fairly tricky to assemble.

V. difficult to put together and smart rats can open it from the inside!
For the price compared to other large rat balls I'm happy with this and it pretty much does everything it's designed to do, but it is unbelievably difficult to put the 2 halves together and twice one of my rats has managed to get the lid off from the inside
