Missing a bend

I'm not an expert but all the gear sticks I've seen for series 2 cars have two bends: one above the ball and the other 2-3" below the knob. This one has just one bend. Also no 1/2" thread to attach a knob to but not sure it that should be standard or not. I sent mine back
