Swordbird by Nancy Yi Fan (2007)
Nancy Yi Fan was 12 yrs old while writing this of her first book. Her love of Birds conjured up this wonderful story of life, struggle, love and loyalty. A Great read for all ages. Do read her prequel to this book...Sword Quest (her second book at age 13).

Best Invention for Canning with Large Bottom Pots
Someone showed me this and I jumped on Ebay to find one... I can A LOT and always had burn marks around my burners from the extreme heat of the oversized water bath canners and pressure canners. I actually blew out one of my solid element burners and had to replace that half of my Jenn-Air cook top....I chose to go with the coil type burners and SO Glad I did !
This Totally solved my problem. It is raised an inch or so above the top of my countertop cook top, so the heat has a place to go and not burn your cooktop...
PERFECT !!!
