Compact, tough, and sharp
I don't know what it is but I love this knife. The more I use it the more I enjoy it. The blade locks up tight and comes hair shaving sharp out of box. The handle is very comfortable and is big enough for large size hands. Whatever steel they are using for the blades is great for the price, holds an edge well and is extremely easy to sharpen. A few passes on ceramic stones and a dozen swipes on a strop, it's back to hair shaving sharp. And the fact that it's made in the US makes me proud. I also think this would make a great First Knife for kids. Just buy it and an extra blade. You'll be so happy you did.

Great knife for the money
Knife came super sharp. The knife has a high hollow grind which makes it super thin behind the edge, slices like a demon. Blade came center and flips really well. This knife is a fondling knife. I cant stop flipping it.

Beauty Knife with bad qualities
The knife came completely dry as far as oil or grease. The detent ball made a terrible grinding noise. The blade was rubbing against the handle scale and the action was terrible. The knife had blade play in every direction. I cant believe it left the factory like this. I had to take apart the entire knife and add fluorinated grease on the washers and detent track. After that I had to play with the pivot to fix the centering. The knife is fine now but I can tell by the lock interface that this blade is going to develop horrible up and down play in the future. On top of all this the screws stripped. Do yourself a favor and buy a spyderco. If I were the people selling this knife I would go thru the stock and make sure they are not all like this.
