Air Filter - Honda Civic Type S 2005 bolt replacement
Seems a lot for a single bolt, but as the existing bolt was so corroded it was hard to extract from the metal liner in the air plastic air filter cover, it makes a useful replacement to put the cover back into service.
Had to remove the entire cover to get the original bolt free of the metal liner with a punch, hammer and block of wood, removing the bolt in its liner first and taking care not to damage the plastic. Had to cut top off original bolt and push through from the head to remove from it's metal liner and then clean the liner inner surface with some wet and dry etc.
Thankfully only the rear right bolt was badly corroded. Applied black paint to all bolts to try to help reduce further corrosion.
