If you like fresh pineapple this handy little tool is just for you!!
I've always liked fresh pineapple but always found getting to the actual fruit difficult and time consuming because of the tough outer shin, but not any more. This tool is so quick and easy to use. Simply twist off the head off the fruit and cut off the first half inch or so then place the serrated edge of the tool over the core and turn in a clockwise direction until the cutting edge reaches the bottom of the fruit (you'll know when this happens as it begins to slice through the outer skin) When this happens simply draw the tool with the fruit attached upwards and cut the fruit into more manageable pieces. I don't stop there as there is more fruit still attached to the skin and cut the remaining shell into four pieces and carefully remove any fruit with a sharp knife. Finally, carefully remove the core from the tool, you can do this by pushing the core out with the handle of a wooden spoon. To remove the core you will need to unclip the black plastic handle first but this is a very simple and easy procedure. Cleaning the tool is a doddle too, just run it under the tap or in warm soapy water. I can honestly say, that since I made my purchase I have eaten no end of fresh pineapple. My favourite is to prepare the pineapple chunks in meringue nests, with any other fresh cut fruit, a dollop of thick cream and topped with grated chocolate!! The cost is very easily affordable and for the end result a must to have. Since I made my initial purchase, I have bought a further 2 so my children can also experience the the ease of preparing fresh pineapple.
