Great product at a great price
Fire & Steel quality. Thick, heavy material. Not a cheap cover plate but rather a substantial piece of metal. Perfect fit, 60 second install. Looks great and really dresses up the bike from the rear view.

Geat Day+ Pack
I had been looking for a day pack to carry on the motorcycle in addition to my regular luggage. Wanted something small enough to carry the basics around town, but large enough to carry the important stuff should the bike break down and I have to hoof it a ways. This pack is about 40L and seems to fit that bill.
Material is good and tough and should last a long time. Buckles are strong. Zippers could be a little beefier, but they seem to be plenty stout.
The thing I noticed first about this pack is that it is extremely comfortable to wear. Padding should be good for loads up to around 30lbs. The waist belt and sternum strap do good job of preventing the pack from moving around. Waist belt is nothing fancy, but the molle webbing provides a good place for a camera, compass pouch or similar.
This pack really will hold a lot of gear. With the front buckle-in flap, the bottom cinch straps, and molle webbing everywhere, one can easily put as much stuff on this pack as in it. The flap portion easily holds my Alps Mystique 1.5 tent in the upright position which keeps the load inside the outer edge of my shoulders. There is a large zippered pocket at the rear (against your back) that isn't mentioned in some descriptions.
I really only have two issue with the pack. First, the two zippered side pouches are too small/short IMO. This position is where I prefer to carry my G.I. canteens, but they will not fit. Nor will these pouches fit nalgene or similar water bottles of a 1qt. size. There are more than enough total cubic inches to do so, but again, they're too short. I will likely piggy back a couple molle canteen pouches.
In fairness, the pack is designed to carry a water bladder, not bottles, but that brings me to issue #2.
The compartment for the water bladder is inside the main compartment. I see this as a design flaw, as it requires one to fully remove the bladder from the pack to fill it, or risk spilling on the rest of the contents. It can also be tricky to re-insert a filled bladder into an already packed pack, and should the bladder leak or break, the rest of your gear is getting soaked. The pack should have been designed to carry the bladder in the rear-most zippered pocket mentioned earlier, and to have the hose ports exit from this pocket. That would make things a lot easier.
I paid less than $40 for this pack, including shipping. My local outdoor retailers are selling the exact same unit for closer to $80. The fit, finish, and materials, are quite good, and the scalability make it rather versatile.
For $40, its a pretty darn good pack.

Works perfectly.

Installation is extremely simple, even more so if you have previous 12v / electrical wiring experience. The instructions provided are clear and easy to follow. I chose the 5 flash then steady mode. The most difficult part of installation is locating the correct brake / run wires on your bike. Once you have that, it's a 10 minute job, and in my case, most of that was spent hunting for a bottle of rubbing alcohol to clean off the mounting location. The unit fit easily under the seat, making the whole thing effectively "NO-profile".
My only negative comment would be that in order to change between modes, one has to physically re-wire the brake line to the other output wire of the unit. It would be nice if this could be accomplished with a dip switch or similar. But in my case this isn't that big of a deal. My bike's brake / run wires u comes factory with bullet connectors easily accessible right under the seat. I soldered matching-sized bullets on the BackOff's output wires, so all I have to do is unplug and plug back in to the other mode wire. If your bike isn't equipped with bullets here, I highly recommend installing some. They'll make testing and changing modes 10X easier.
As for its effect on other drivers - hard to say, although my riding buddy noticed it immediately. I can say that it seems as if people are seeing and reacting to it properly. In instances where I'm already stopped, and I see traffic approaching in the mirrors, a purposeful squeeze or two of the brake lever almost always results in the approaching vehicle seeming to slow sooner, and definitely leaving a significantly larger gap between us.
So far I like it.
