Humax Remote

Looks the part, but be weary, it's a cheap knock off. The buttons travel into the plastic casing, so are annoying to press. And on my particular item one or two buttons didn't work, so when I scroll around the tv guide using the up/down/left/right control, I can't go left! In the end I decided to buy a used official Humax remote for 12 quid. Dumped this in the bin.

Initially I thought it was terrible! Plugged in and the sound was tinny and weak. However I soon realised the settings were off and once the treble was lessened and the bass boosted on the remote I was quite simply blown away. The bass frequencies (plenty of sub) was low and smooth, the mids were OK (a little dipped but still audible) and the highs fairly clean. Playing some music vids on YouTube really demonstrates the capability of this unit. For under £50 (what I paid) I think you'd struggle to find anything anywhere near this. The fact you can control the mix between bass and treble is a bonus so you can tailor to your own ears. Not too many audio inputs (optical audio/rca/Bluetooth) but still decent enough. Fantastic value.
