WOW! A sensational series if ever there was one!
Firstly, don't confuse this with the touchy-feely Twilight genre. Yes, it features a vampire and a warewolf, but trust me, it's worlds apart! The series features a blood tee-total vampire, a warewolf, and a ghost, all living together in the same house and trying to reclaim the scraps of humanity that were taken from them by their respective conditions. The programme follows each character's attempts at fitting in to regular society, holding a normal job, realting to other people, and keeping their conditions a secret - in essence, Being Human. The story is at times tense, serious, and has you on the edge of your seat. At other times, it can be hilariously funny, which breaks up the tension nicely. The relationships between the characters are honest and often touching, and despite the abnormaility of their situation, the friendships seem oddly realistic, in both their arguments and their agreements. The story is well-paced as it moves from episode to episode, and the cliffhangers leave you unable to just watch one and walk away. If you haven't seen it yet, I would urge you to give it a go - you will laugh, you will cry, and you will find out how difficult Being Human really is.
