Dangerous Maxam Cookware
0 of 1 found this helpful Feb. 2018, I, submit this review for Maxam cookware. I washed and dried the new Maxam cookware set as instructed in box. Filled the pots 3/4 full with water only. Brought them to a simmer for 30 - 40 minutes simply to be sure we would never ingest anything adverse from the pots. A strange substance formed at top of water. When I poured the water out, I inhaled the vapors which caused my nasal cavity, throat, and lungs to hurt. The vapors also affected my range top, and counter top leaving behind an extremely stubborn film that melded into the glass top. The substance quickly dried to a light mellow yellow powder at the bottom of the pots. Had to see a Pulmonologist in San Antonio the following day. Tests show my lungs are indeed affected by this chemical substance from the Maxam pots. Pulmonologist says further tests and study are required to determine the exact chemical and my outcome. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE MAXAM COOKWARE, sincerely, amn8482
