sentimental , historical, funny and a timeless reference to a bygone age
I saw this colour film for the first time on TV recently. As it is based on a historcal event, ie the Queen's coronation of 1953,it does not date. It deserves far more recognition than it gets and has emotion, humour, moral values and social history. In my opinion this is a thoroughly recommended film for all the family which is entertaining and worthwhile. I do not think you will regret it!

a very rare kit and a rare modelling subject
In my view, the rarity of the kit and the history of the plane make this a thought provoking educational modelling experience. I do think that additional historical research is necessary to appreciate the background to the subject.
