Sony DSLR
11 of 11 found this helpful I bought this camera primarily for my business. It was needed for product photos.
Before buying it I borrowed a Nikon 200D for a weekend, and found it unsuitable. The images, at least with the kit lens, were very soft, and the camera had to be manually focused when the subject was gilded (gold on gold). To get useable images I used a tripod, manual focus, plus-2 sharp, and aperture priority.
When the Sony Alpha 100 arrived I tried it on a recently restored gold harp. The first images were hand held, aperture priority f8, and default settings. The images were sharp and contrasty, just what I wanted. Given that the Sony cost about half what I started to pay for the Nikon, it is really an excellent buy.

Faulty adapter
When installed into the transmission line in my HF antenna the first adapter tested open. The antenna, needless to say, would not load. Once the faulty adapter was identified as the problem the second one from the pack was installed. It works fine. A 50 percent failure rate is unacceptable.
