This film is not as bad as some of the negative comments suggest. My main criticism is that instead of following the known storyline it introduces an over exaggerated and rather ludicrous villain. The outlaw Cavendish is transformed from a ragtag bandit to a pompous ex - army officer plotting to annex Texas from the US. As you can imagine The Lone Ranger comes to the rescue. For those who associate Clayton Moore with The Lone Ranger this film will have little appeal. For western buffs it may provide something of interest.
