Used with video production or for musical instruments.. a great mic!
Sound quality is well balanced and full range; 30hz is great for deep bass recordings. Sony made a great mic here. Wired mics add complexity to a setup, this is where wireless mics trump wired, but sound quality is better with a wired mic.. no coding/decoding a carrier frequency. Design is 'lavalier' but the smallish ECM-55b works great for gathering 'wild' audio or use with musical instruments. All around a great mic.
